Dr. Brad Watson, DMD
I was born in the northern town of Fort Nelson BC, but grew up in the City of Surrey. Before pursuing dentistry, I completed a Red Seal Journeyman Welding Ticket to fund my education by working in construction during the summer months.
I completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology and extended minor in Psychology at the University of the Fraser Valley. I graduated with honours and distinction in 2016. I was awarded the research excellence award grant in 2015 and 2016 for my work with children with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder. I spent the past 4 years in Sydney Australia, where I completed my Doctor of Dental Medicine. This program is known for its specific emphasis on pursing excellence in clinical dentistry with early hands on patient care.
I prefer to develop relationships and connections with my patients that are about more than just dentistry. It is my belief that dentistry is an integral part of the holistic care of an individual and I look forward to contributing to the overall health and wellness of my patients.
I am excited to be joining the Comox Valley community and all it has to offer. I am a scratch golfer but love to play! I also snowboard, and I am keen to get back into hiking after years of city living. I appreciate good coffee, good food, and most importantly suggestions on where to find them. I am also an avid sports fan, especially football! On Sundays you will find me cheering for the Green Bay Packers!
